Traveling always has its fair share of stresses; you have to make sure you have all of your personal belongings as well as business belongings, such as laptops. There are, however, things you can do to greatly decrease the strain. For one thing, always make sure you have your things together ahead of time; make a list of all of the things that you need to take with you. If you consistently travel and take short trips, think about keeping a ready-to-go bag in your closet, which would always have your absolute essentials in, such as toiletries, a fresh pair of pajamas, notepads, underwear and socks etc. Then, if needs be, you can add extra things, such as reading material, your iPad or your favorite tie.
There are loads of little things which can cause extra stress, like wrinkled ties and tangled jewelry; the key is to plan ahead and keep that from happening.
- With ties for example, roll up the tie tightly and slide it inside a tube.
- With a necklace, string one side through a straw and lock the clasp.
- Use pill box organizers for boxing up rings and you can keep earrings together by latching them through button holes.
Learn to get ahead of jet lag by staying hydrated, exercising and getting a good night’s sleep before hand; and get a healthy dose of sunlight! By taking care of yourself, jet lag will not be as tough for you. During in-flight times, catch up on things, such as emails. Often flights don’t have Wi-Fi, so make sure you have enough emails you can read and draft replies to then, when you get connected, send them! One more thing that you can do to help with your trip is to reserve a car, rather than waiting on a taxi; that way you aren’t waiting on a cab, and in many towns doing this is no more expensive.
KLS will pick you up from LAX or any other Los Angeles airport or nearby. Your driver will pick you up either at the terminal or outside depending on your preference. The reservation desk is open 24/7 so you can always book no matter what.
If you do all of the above, your trips will go so much more smoothly and you will be able to relax; whether for business or pleasure, all trips should be stress free.
